Abstract

Hová tartozik Magyarország? Közép-Európához, Kelet-Európához, vagy Közép-Kelet-Európához? Esetleg valamiféle Köztes-Európához? Felzárkózik-e Magyarország a Nyugathoz, vagy leszakad és a Kelet, /a Balkán/ része lesz, netán a két világ közt hánykódik egyfajta köztes „kompországként”? A kérdések indokoltságát és időszerűségét alátámasztják az utóbbi időszak világgazdasági változásai, ezen belül is a kelet-európai események. Az ukrán válság csak egy „tünete” a megújuló orosz erőtérépítésnek. De vajon van-e ennek lehetősége Európában? Megerősödik-e Oroszország annyira, hogy érdekszférájának bővítése reális cél? És vajon ez folyamat a Nyugat hanyatlásának a jele, és a Kelet térhódítása Európában? A gyakran politikai áthallású vita talán elméleti jellegű, de megválaszolása az ország és saját jövőnk szempontjából korántsem felesleges.
