Abstract

There is a large opinion about the lack of a marxist theory of crises. This article defends his existence, and try to show that it Ì s not a “theory of economic cycles†. Marx’s goal was not to proof regular phases of grow and fall of economy, but to show how the accumulation of capital laws mean by themselves the crisis, which is the manifestation of the tendency to self-dissolution of capital. This article discusses the main aspects of this theory, trying to update the debate, in the light of contemporary works and authors.
