Abstract

This study investigates the relationship between organizational trust and employee commitment within Nigerian financial institutions, specifically Zenith Bank and Access Bank branches in Uromi, Edo State. Organizational trust is examined through the dimensions of integrity and transparency, while employee commitment is explored in terms of affective and continuance commitment. The study adopts a quantitative research approach, employing surveys administered to employees from both banks to collect data on perceptions of organizational trust and commitment. The sample consists of 62 employees from Zenith Bank and Access Bank, selected using stratified random sampling techniques. Data were analyzed using Pearson correlation and regression analysis.
