Abstract

En septembre 1995, 40 décideurs de politiques et chercheurs africains se sont rencontrés à Abidjan, en Côte d'Ivoire, pour examiner l'expérience de l'Afrique en ce qui concerne la transformation de l'agriculture et pour identifier les actions nécessaires pour encourager cette dernière. Le bureau de développement durable, sous la direction du bureau pour l'Afrique (AFR/SD) de l'Agence de développement international des États Unis d'Amérique (USAID) a parrainé un séminaire en collaboration avec la Banque Africaine de Développement (BAD), l'Institut du Sahel (INSAH) et l'Université de l'État du Michigan (MSU).
