Abstract

A las 4:45 de la mañana del 14 de junio del 2006, aproximadamente 500 policías anti motines intentaron desalojar a los maestros de la Sección XXII del Sindicato Nacional de Trabajadores de la Educación (SNTE), que ocupaban el zócalo de la ciudad de Oaxaca desde el día 22 de mayo. El 13 por la noche, el gobierno del estado dio la orden de concentrar a las diferentes corporaciones policíacas que en conjunto representaban a un poco más de cinco mil efectivos. Esa misma noche comenzó a circular el rumor de que el gobierno del estado desalojaría a los maestros oaxaqueños y encarcelaría a los dirigentes de la Sección XXII del SNTE.
